Clay Township, Lancaster County – Diehm was tasked with the development of a plan for a townhome community in the village of Clay. The unusual shape of the property required Diehm to design an unconventional and efficient street layout that permitted the maximum number of lots. Sewer proved to be a formidable challenge as neighboring public sewer systems were not accessible from the site by gravity sewer. Diehm successfully worked with the Township, Ephrata Borough (sewer) and various subconsultants and adjacent property owners to get a new pumping station completed. Diehm worked to obtain the needed zoning approvals and subdivision plan approval for the development, and provided construction survey. This community is already home to many, and the remaining lots provide additional affordable housing in this beautiful part of northern Lancaster County.
